Kid to Kid Program
About Kid to Kid:
Each year, we bring together children from across San Diego County to assemble care packages filled with essential items like clothing, school supplies, craft materials, and toys to gift to children in Iraq. The goal of this initiative is to remind these children that they are not alone, and that children across the world, just like them, are thinking of them. Last year, we successfully sent over 1,200 gift boxes and 500 pairs of children’s shoes, which were distributed throughout the dioceses of Zakho, Alqosh, Qaraqosh, Erbil, and Dahouk.
This year, we are simplifying the Kid to Kid Program by distributing donation cans through local churches, including St. Peter Chaldean Catholic Eparchy, St. Michael, St. John, and St. Joseph Chaldean Catholic Church. These donation cans will be provided to Youth Bible study groups, Catechism & First Communion classes, encouraging children and their families throughout the San Diego County area to participate.
